Our Story

Café Oui is your go to Café in the heart of Chelmsford, Ontario. Located at 3536 Errington Ave, owned by Butch and Fran Ouimette. Their dreams became a reality, June 1st 2023. They restored the old Chrysler building and turned it into the inviting, comfortable café you see today! With each of them having over 20 plus years as managers for the Home Depot, they couldn’t wait to bring their customer service into something of their own. The name “Café Oui” is a signature of their last name. “Oui” also means “Yes” in French not only does it have a nice ring to it, incorporating the bilingual essence was a must, as Fran was born and raised in this community and knows the importance of being bilingual.

Not only can you enjoy your favourite drinks at our brick and mortar, we have a new addition, Café Oui on Wheels. Serving you at select events all over the Greater Sudbury area. See you on the road! We had the pleasure of attending a handful of events in 2024 and we’re looking forward to more Oui on Wheels, this spring and summer of 2025.

  • Enjoy our outdoor patio, where guests can sip coffee, enjoy some ice cream and sit with their furry friends. Being animal lovers, Butch and Fran made sure to install dog ties and provide water bowls for your pets. Don’t forget to ask our staff for a special pet treat. We always have something available!

    Café Oui strives on being a warm, welcoming, cozy atmosphere. We cater to all ages. There’s nothing more satisfying than having little ones asking their parents to bring them to Cafe Oui or seeing a couple teenagers enjoying a board game from our cabinet. Café Oui will make you feel like you are right at home with your family and friends. Our staff Is friendly, passionate and guests will keep coming back again and again.

  • Our food is made with the freshest ingredients. Our meat is cut daily here in house. Our steak and chicken are cooked daily at our location. Our fresh buns are made daily from Regency Bakery and our caesar salad sauce is by far the best around. Its made in house with our own recipe. It’s’ called the Oui sauce and you can add it to any sub!  We have many options like our Gluten free bagels, bread and sub buns made locally by Amici.

    Our home-brew and espresso is made using high quality, locally roasted beans from Espanola Coffee roasters. You can enjoy a fresh brewed coffee in house or buy your beans for home!

  • We call them our Oui family, cause they aren’t our staff  we consider them family. They will greet you with a smile and give you a warm welcome every time.

  • We are committed to sourcing local and Canadian products and partners like Regency Bakery, Espanola Coffee Roasters, Amici, Treat Yourself Bake Shoppe, Kate she Bakes, Ruby Farms and many more local bakers and farmers.

  • We take pride in supporting our community through causes which are important to our guests, team members and community.

    Café Oui helps the less fortunate with our pay it forward program. Anyone can purchase an item for someone in need, a voucher for said item is added to our community board for someone to use.

    Over the years we have brought smiles to hundreds of residents at St- Gabriels Villa during the holiday season with the help from our community.

    We love to show our support by sponsoring local hockey, soccer and gymnastic teams in addition to other local organizations.
